~ Welcome to Kesra's Art ~
painting, drawing, book binding, murals, and teaching
Kesra, a native of Middletown, Maryland, has been painting landscapes of her home and travels since 1996. Growing up in an area rich with farmland and forests cultivated within her a passion of the natural world. As a child, traveling worldwide with her parents instilled a desire to share her excitement for the beauty around her.
ART OPPORTUNITY for Adults (21 or older)!
I'll be teaching for my 5th year at Nimrod Hall Summer Art Program in Bath County, VA June 14-19.
At the moment all 12 slots are all filled. But there is a wait-list, so if you get on that, you may get a chance to come!
Nimrod is a fabulous spot for immersing yourself in doing art, and not having to worry about anything else! Rustic yet comfortable accommodations and prepared family-style meals in a gorgeous pastoral setting are just some of the perks. You'll have solo art time each morning, with one-on-one art instruction in the afternoon, and several optional demonstrations throughout the week. The FAQs on the site are quite thorough. Check it out!
Kesra's mediums of choice are gouache, for works on paper, and acrylic, for paintings on gessoed board or for wall murals. More often than not, she also finds herself choosing charcoal and drawing pencils, which have always been her go-to utensils for the sketchbook, for larger and/or framed work.
