Poplar Kaleidoscope, The Farm, MD
This image was painted from a pic I took on a walk last November in the poplar grove above the house at my parents farm. The pure magic of the yellow and orange leaves fluttering against that blue sky made me sit down in the middle of the woods.
This piece is gouache on black paper… actually drawing paper, not smooth mixed media, so the texture feels more toothy, like watercolor paper but thinner. Fun to experiment with new stuff. SOLD
